midterm part 1

Trying to appeal the audience is a very difficult task. However, Prosthetics are controlled by the muscles in your legs. But scientists are working on a prototype that could potentially revolutionize the way amputees walk, run, and perform as athletes today. What if something was invented to make life easier, be able to think for you, or give you answers without using your own brain? Wouldn’t that be cool? There are many products that are being made to make the lives we live, easier. Huge advances have been made in recent decades in terms of the mobility offered by prosthetic joints. Power Prosthetics is an experiment involving numerous people around the world. With this incredible experiment, it becomes appealing to the audiences eyes and makes the market become achievable. The capacity to replace lost muscle function is literally lifting amputees to a higher level.
As technology continues to advance, the right combination of electro-mechanical actuators with efficient power sources will allow individuals to complete a full day of activity using prosthetics. Ultra-thin, ultra-strong and ultra-tough - these are the attributes that characterize the battery technology used in the first generation of power prosthetics and, as development continues, the battery life can only get longer and the charge time shorter. Also, improvements in overall system efficiency will make an increasing contribution to worry-free, active lives in the future.
The first technique will be “Cool Hunting” because it is important for marketers to make observations and predictions in changes of new and existing cultural trends. By using this technique, marketers will be able to know what people are using to help there disability. For example, athletes missing a leg will be able to use these prosthetics. This goes for track runners, basketball players, or even a football player. Cool hunting will take some time, but at the end it will be worth the time waited.
The second technique that could be used by advertisers to market prosthetics is through product placement across media, such as movies, televisions, and current events. Since these are some of the most popular things in the world today, this will be a significant approach in helping prosthetics become successful. I think by advertising this product in billboards, bus ads, and medical centers, it can help those with loss of muscle which need prosthetics, to be aware of what is going on in the marketing world.
The third and final technique will be narrow casting. This includes cable TV or satellite devices. This action can transport messages such as ads, to televisions. For example, if a person in need of a prosthetic is watching TV, the person will see the commercial and most likely be interested in the product. Many people around the world watch television and listen to the radio. Most of all, this can be a very strong technique to appeal to the audience eye.Take a moment to imagine where this technology can take us. Future developments on this platform will help meet the medical requirements of individuals worldwide who are relying on prosthetic and orthopedic care, helping them to achieve a life without limitations.

The Persuaders

What in "The Persuaders" surprised you (or not)? Name one new thing you learned about marketing or politics from watching the film. Name one new thing you learned about yourself from watching the film, or one thing that the film reiterated about yourself.
While watching The Persuaders, i was not surprised. What i saw in the clip were mainly lots of things i knew about politics of the marketing field and where its heading. Marketing is a very competitive business, and companies try there best to attract the attention from people. Its just that simple!they try to incorpate their products by putting them in movies and television.

"The Persuaders" begins by questioning the increase in the amount of advertising we typically encounter in our daily lives. How would you assess the amount of advertising you see? Too much? Too little? Just right? In your view, what difference does it make to know that people today see much more advertising in their daily lives than people 20 or 30 years ago?
The amount of advertising i see has to be a lot compared to 20 or 30 years ago. We live in a country where companies try to convince your cognitive thoughts by ads. Thats the only way companies can get you, ads. If there werent any ads then, the market will def. decrease dramatically. For a person being from the city, standing in the streets of time square, is like being trapped in a game of pinball.
